WEATHERFORD – Jennie Bettie Snow, 89, died Nov. 9, 2012, in a Weatherford, Texas, nursing home.
Service was Monday, Nov. 12, at Perrin Church of Christ with Zip Brazeal officiating. Burial followed in Whitt Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 2, 1923, in Carrollton, Texas, the daughter of John Thomas and Johnnie Kate Sheridan Weeks. She married Earl Snow on May 9, 1947, in Fort Worth. She was a longtime resident of Whitt and a member of the Perrin Church of Christ. She was an avid cook, cooking for schools and nursing homes. She was involved in benevolent work at South Main Church of Christ in Weatherford for 15 years. Before she was married she worked in civil service.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Roy Blakley, of Perrin; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Janita Snow, of Weatherford; daughter-in-law, Penny Snow, of Mineral Wells; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Johnny Snow; sisters, Opal Murray, Mona Wilmon and Linda Hutton; and brothers, T.J. and Cecil Weeks.
