Shaun Wesley Fox

Shaun Wesley Fox, 27, beloved son, died in New Orleans, La., on Oct. 28, 2012.

Service is 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Coker Funeral Home, 152 State Highway 148, Jacksboro, Texas.  Graveside service will follow at the family cemetery, also in Jacksboro.

Shaun graduated from Northshore High School in Slidell, La., received an Associate’s of Arts degree from the University of New Orleans, and worked as a government contractor at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, Belle Chase, La. He served honorably in the Louisiana Air National Guard, mostly with the 159th Fighter Wing Group, performing his duties as a jet mechanic for nine years until his recent separation in May of this year. Shaun earned the Air Force Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Medal, Armed Force Services Medal and the Humanitarian Service Medal.

Shaun enjoyed being outdoors and loved camping, hiking, fishing, scuba diving and skydiving. He always loved playing his guitar and at times performed with local bands. Shaun touched the hearts and lives of so many friends and family across this country and he will always hold a special place in their hearts for him. He will forever be missed by all who loved and knew him and his departure has left a very large space in all our hearts.

Shaun leaves behind his mother, Kim Sund, of Tennessee ; stepfather, Gene Sund, of Tennessee; father, William Fox Jr., of Arizona; stepmother, Nikki Fox, of Arizona; brothers, Mike Dziedzic, Austin Sund and Tyler Fox; sisters, Lauren Sund and Corrie Fox; grandparents, William and Patricia Fox, of Arizona, who preceded him in death; maternal grandparents, Allen and Kay Hudspeth Jr., of Mineral Wells; great-grandparents, Allen and Grace Hudspeth, of Texas; uncles, Jerry Locker, Ricky Hudspeth, Mike Hudspeth and Hugh Fox; aunts, Connie Krynicki, Lisa Sagona and Teresa Jones; cousins, Crystal Locker, Allena Stevens and Tony Krynicki; and others.
