SANTO – Rita Marie Atchison, 62, of Santo, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, in Fort Worth.
Memorial service is 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation to begin at 1 p.m.
Rita was born Dec. 24, 1949, in Hico, Texas, to Vernon and Ruby Mae Massingill Moore. She was a member of the Cowboy Church, grew up in Fairy, moved to Mineral Wells in the 1960s and lived in Santo the past 30 years. She was a seamstress, working at Equibrand Products in Granbury, Texas,making products for the equine industry. Rita claims that three men were lucky enough to be married to her.
Survivors include her two daughters, Jennifer Mae Shepard and husband, Ricky Smith, of Stephenville, Texas, and Amy Nicole Shepard and husband, Jason Thompson, of Mineral Wells; grandson, Cody Lee Thompson, of Mineral Wells; and several cousins.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Randy Lee Moore.
