Barry Lee Patton (Willie), 56, passed away Dec. 31, 2012, in Enid, OK. He was born on Oct. 24, 1956, in Ardmore, OK, the son of Bill and JoAnn Pettit Patton.
He lived in Oklahoma as a child later moving to Mineral Wells where he grew up, went to school, and worked as a floor hand in the oilfield. Barry moved to Enid in 2005.
Survivors include sons Harley Patton of Enid and Caleb Patton of Mineral Wells; daughter Starla and son-in-law Louie Wheeler; grandchildren Montana and Houston Wheeler, Cody Smith, and Britteny Ortega of Enid; brother Billy Patton of Mineral Wells; and lots of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, and in-laws and friends in Texas and Oklahoma.
Barry also leaves behind an extended family that he grew up with – Wayne and Wanda Whitehead family, Darriel, Randal, Edwina, Belinda and husband Eddie, Keithy and Melissa and aunts Shirley Moore and Ruby Holder. With lots of extended nieces, nephews, aunt and uncles.
Barry was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn and brother, Arthur Patton.
Visitation/viewing was at First Baptist Church of Pleasant Valley on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. Graveside services for Barry Lee Patton were Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at 4 p.m. in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Pleasant Valley (Mineral Wells), Texas, under the kind guidance of his children. There was a dinner in Harrington Hall at 2:30 p.m. for the family at First Baptist Church of Pleasant Valley. David Fowler officiated the services. Pallbearers were Harley Patton, Caleb Patton, Keithy Whitehead, Darriel Whitehead, Troy Cohron, and Jerry Holder. Honoree pallbearers were Louie Wheeler, George Moore, and Starla Wheeler.
