MINERAL WELLS — Michael Sly Trevino, 27, was received into the hands of God on Wednesday Dec. 20, 2012. Michael Sly was born Feb.28, 1985 in Mineral Wells to Freddy Trevino and Carolyn Diffenderfer, he was there only son. Michael was a 2003 graduate of Mineral Wells High School and he worked for Baker Hughes in the coil tubing dept., which he loved his work. Michael loved his job and friends and he was called "Boo Bear" by his co-workers!! His laughter and jokes made us all smile and his love for kids was priceless. A loving husband, father, family man, special "uncle Michael", son, nephew, brother-in-Iaw, best friend, brother, he touched us all in so many ways, he has left us alot of special memories that will live in our hearts forever. He married the love of his life Amanda Allen on June 13th 2009 and they made their home in Mineral Wells. He was a Baptist and loved the Lord. Services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 27, at Indian Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Guy Weathers officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be John Valley Jr., Marcus Trevino, Marty Galvan, Steven Cortez, Stephen Wheaton, Kyle Cates, George Fulbright, and Rocky Taliaferro. Those left behind to celebrate his life are his loving wife Amanda Trevino of Mineral Wells and their children, Yari and Ivy, Father, Freddy Trevino and wife Brenda of Mineral Wells, Mother, Carolyn and Stepfather John Diffenderfer of Paradise, Mother and Father In Law, Susie and Bob Pierson of Mineral Wells, Very Special Grandmother, Lucelle Garrett Moore, his "meme" also of Mineral Wells , Special Aunts Gloria and Angie, Best friend and very special big sister Tracy Trevino of Boyd and children Marcus and Bethany, Sisters in law, Annette Moore and partner Wanda Qualls and their children, also his godchildren, Aden and Addyson Moore, sister in law Janis and husband Rocky Taliaferro, and son Tristan, special niece Ravann and husband Josh Haskins, and baby Kayden, sister Stephanie and husband Dave Fleharty and son Brody of Palestine, sister Amy Terrell of Mineral Wells, brother Chris and Sheena Terrell and daughter Journey of Mineral Wells, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends he loved them all. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Bill and Alvina Trevino, grandmother: Violet Hugo, cousin: Moe Trevino, and very special friends: Kody Cates and Toby Butler. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Trevino Children College Fund and Titan Bank.
