WAYNESBORO, Miss. – Ray “Hot-To” Shockley, 71, a native of Shubuta, Miss., and resident of Waynesboro, Miss., died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at his residence.
Graveside service is 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, with Rev. Billy Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Zion’s Rest Cemetery, Eucutta, Miss. Visitation is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday in the Freeman Funeral Home parlor in Waynesboro.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed as a truck driver in the oil field.
Mr. Shockley is survived by his wife, Norma Lee Shockley, of Waynesboro; two sons, Jimmy Shockley (Connie) and Bob Shockley (Tesa), both of Sandersville, Miss.; daughter, Billie Blue (David) of Mineral Wells; sister, Sarah Dykes, of Waynesboro; nine grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
