Zelda Emberlin, 92, died Oct. 10, 2012, in Mineral Wells.
Graveside service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Zelda Lorraine Baker Emberlin was born June 9, 1920, in Terre Haute, Ind. She was the youngest of eight children and the last survivor of that family. She moved to Texas as a child, graduating from high school in Brownwood in 1938. She married Jodie Martin Emberlin in 1940. They moved to Mineral Wells from Bennett in 1943 and she lived in Mineral Wells the remainder of her life.
Zelda Emberlin was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to many. She never met a stranger and loved to sit and talk with anyone who had the time. In her later years, going to Jack-in-the-Box for coffee was the highlight of her day. She had many friends there and never missed a day as long as she could still drive. Her sense of humor and bubbling personality will be missed by all.
Survivors include her daughter, Rickie Ann Eichler, of Kerrville, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Mary Emberlin, of Kerrville; grandson, Dave Eichler and wife, Rosie, of San Antonio; granddaughters, Ravan Powell and Brandy Gallop, of Mena, Ark.; nine great-grandchildren; close friend, Maribel Cortes; and many other friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jodie Emberlin; a grandson, Thomas
Scott; and her parents, sisters and brothers.
