School officials, teachers readying for new year

By Sharron Hudson | millsapnews@mineralwellsindex.com

MILLSAP – With family reunions, vacations, and all that goes with summer winding down many are very busy getting ready for the coming school year. On that front, school personnel are already back to work or soon will be.

Bus drivers have already had training days and new staff will begin work on Aug. 16. All staff will work the 17th-24th, with the first school day being Aug. 27. We issue a special welcome to new personnel.

Two of these new staff members are sure to be wonderful assets to the athletics program. Coach Mark Osina is the new part time athletic director and comes to Millsap with an illustrious career that includes high school, college and university positions. While working at Weatherford College he was nominated nine times as Teacher of the Year. The new head volleyball coach is Kaycee Venecamp, who has been serving as assistant volleyball and softball coach in the district.
