Watermelon Fest helped plant seeds for future endeavors

MILLSAP – As daylight hours grow shorter and cool breezes fan by occasionally, it is becoming easier to get out and attend outside community activities.  

A recent one that brought many positive results was the Millsap Heritage Society’s Watermelon Fest.

With great attendance the group had a very productive meeting after everyone was full of melon. There was so much discussion and so many forthcoming plans that only the highlights will be given.

President Greg Boyd has been in contact with workers at The Log Cabin Village in the Metroplex, and they have given much advice on preservation of the wood of our cabins. A committee has been formed to go over and discuss details of their advice.
