Millsap freshman scoring again with his heifers

MILLSAP – Millsap High School freshman Tygen Kukuk has traveled with his heifers to the major junior livestock shows around the state and bought back hardware and banked some scholarship funds.

Most recently in Houston, Kukuk placed second with his Chianina (pronounced Kee-ah-nee-na) heifer, ABSA Lacey, in the “other registered breeds” show, late spring heifer calves class.

• Millsap outings, meetings, happenings and changes

  With kids out of school and warm temperatures arriving, many of the usual summer activities around here have begun. Among these events was the recent family church camp of Midpoint Chapel.

  As we move into some very warm, pretty weather people begin to work in their yards and make home improvements. As a result of such efforts the First Recognized Yard of Millsap has been selected.

  As we move into the month of May, many events surrounding our schools are happening. The most recent and much-anticipated celebration was the Alumni Reunion.

  As we move along in the month of April one big Parker County event that made front page news had great results for one of our local ladies.

  With signs of Spring all about us, people are energized and out and about more. While students and school personnel are looking forward to spring break March 11-15, there is much activity on all three of our campuses
