PERRIN – In a girls’ District 11-A first-place tiebreaker game here Friday night, the Santo Ladycats earned the league’s top seed after a 35-20 victory over Poolville.
The win raise the Ladycats’ overall mark to 27-4.
The win gives the Ladycats a bye in the first round of the playoffs.
“We had troubles offensively throughout the game,” Ladycats head coach Tony Raffaele said. “Defensively, we played great, and that is what we need to do to win games at this time of the year.”
Breeana Raffaele led the Ladycats with 13 points, with Payton Billue adding eight.
Also scoring for Santo were Sarah Van Remmen with seven points, Taylor Nemeth with four, Megan MacPherson with two and Alyssa McKennon with one.
Santo led 10-7 after the first quarter and built a 19-9 cushion at the half. Santo outscored Poolville 8-5 in the third period to take a 27-14 lead into the fourth quarter.
