Rams use open week to prepare for Lions

Unlike the past two seasons when the Mineral Wells Rams enjoyed an “open” week a week before the playoffs, this year the Rams will have an off week – this past week – the week prior to opening up district play.

The Rams will begin District 6-3A play a week from today at Castleberry.

Rams head coach Chuck Lawrence said he is pleased as to where the open date fell this season. The coach said the team used the time off for an extra week of preparing for the district opener.
