PEASTER — Mineral Wells guard Hunter Fincher's three-point attempt with one second left to play barely missed its mark as the ball bounced off the rim to give Peaster a narrow 49-47 win over the Rams Tuesday night in a non-district tilt at Peaster.
The loss drops the Rams to 1-2. Mineral Wells came back from a five-point deficit in the fourth quarter and took a 47-45 lead with 2:17 left to play on a put back by senior guard Jacob Velasquez.
Peaster tied the game seconds later and took the lead for good after nailing a pair of free throws with 29 seconds left to play.
Zac Tabor led the Rams with 12 points, with Skylar Flaska adding 10.
