Mineral Wells High School boys and girls junior varsity basketball teams enjoyed a solid year in District 6-3A as the four teams had a combined 29-9 district record.
The Lady Rams freshman and junior varsity teams both tied for a district championship. The JV ladies won their first nine games in district play before a season-ending loss at Kennedale tied MWHS and the Lady Kats for first place.
The Lady Rams freshman team finished with a 7-1 district mark (Diamond Hill did not field a freshman team meaning the freshman teams in 6-3A played an eight-game schedule). The Lady Rams defeated Kennedale in the district finale to share the title.
The Rams freshman team finished in second place with an 8-2 record, while the Rams JV finished with a 5-5 league mark.
Three of the four teams also sent players to the varsity for the playoffs.
Lady Rams junior varsity players Scarlett Eaton, Tabby Santibanez and Kera Harrison were called up to the varsity for the playoffs.
Rams JV players Mark Glover and Coy Barrick, along with freshman team forward Marvin Johnson, were called up to the varsity team for postseason play.
