Mineral Wells freshman pitcher Kelsey Keeton kept her District 6-3A shutout streak alive after limiting Lake Worth to no runs and a pair of hits as the Lady Rams defeated the Lady Frogs, 15-0, Tuesday night at Kessler Field.
The game was stopped in the fourth inning due to the district’s 15-run rule.
Keeton, who has allowed no runs and just four hits in 11 innings of district competition, recorded seven strikeouts.
She now has 18 strikeouts in two District 6-3A contests.
Mineral Wells sophomore Hope Patterson hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the fourth to seal the game.
Patterson finished with a pair of runs batted in.
Senior Reagan Patterson led MWHS at the plate, going four-for-four which included a double, triple and four RBI.
The Lady Rams led 2-0 after the first inning and scored seven runs in the third frame to take a 9-0 lead.
MWHS added six runs in the fourth inning to close the scoring.
Mineral EWells sophomore outfielder Victoria Huffman finished with a triple and one run driven in, and junior Anjelica Trevino had a single and a pair of RBI.
