TYLER – Strawn’s remarkable season ended Friday afternoon at the girls’ Class A, Region III, Division II tournament as state-ranked No. 1 Saltillo defeated the Lady Hounds, 45-27, in the regional semifinals at Tyler College.
The Lady Hounds finish with an overall record of 30-7.
‘Rabbits fall in area playoffs
WICHITA FALLS – Graford’s season came to an end on Friday as Crowell defeated the Jackrabbits by three points in a boys’ Class A, Region II, Division II area championship game.
The ‘Rabbits finish with an overall mark of 25-8.
Lady Rams shut out Chisholm Trail, 5-0
SAGINAW – Mineral Wells forward Sami Stevens recorded a hat trick with three goals and goalkeepers Brittany Smith and Rebecca Langley combined for a shutout as the Lady Rams defeated saginaw Chisholm Trail, 5-0, here Friday night in a District 12-4A match.
The win raises the Lady Rams’ district mark to 4-3-1.
Stevens also recorded an assist. Carline Clarke and Breanna Hinojos each scored a goal, and Miriam Garcia also collected an assist.
The Lady Rams will continue district play at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Springtown.

SAGINAW – The Mineral Wells Rams soccer team raised its District 12-4A mark to 5-2-1 after defeating Saginaw Chisholm Trail here Friday night.
