HICO – The Strawn Lady Greyhounds and Santo Lady 'Cats both turned in solid efforts this past weekend at the Hico Invitational tournament.
Strawn, by virtue of a 52-35 win over Santo, finished third in the overall team standings.
In the third-place game, Strawn was led by senior post Jamie Heflin, who tallied 17 points and grabbed 10 boards. Zakia Winegeart added 13 points while Tiffany Lee added 12.
Strawn senior Chy Ann Boston had 10 rebounds and seven points.
Santo, now 2-4, had two players reach double figures, including Shanna Stevens with 16 and Becca Jones with 13.
