Perrin runs down Ranger


PERRIN – Bryce Cameron ran for 220 yards and four touchdowns as Perrin-Whitt whipped Ranger, 47-16, to move closer to securing a playoff spot.

The Pirates (4-5, 2-2) can clinch a post-season berth with a win Friday when they travel to Santo.

While Cameron had a great night for Perrin-Whitt, Joseph Evans had a pretty good one himself. The P-WHS standout rushed for 107 yards on just five carries while scoring three touchdowns, including a 71-yard scamper in the second quarter.

The Pirates scored on each of its first half possessions to take a commanding 40-0 halftime lead.

Perrin-Whitt finished with 346 rushing yards on 31 carries while holding Ranger to 113 total yards and just five first downs.

Ranger had 105 yards in penalties, and both teams lost three fumbles.
