Castorena, Rams run over Hawks, 34-21

IOWA PARK – Putting together its most complete game of the young season, the Mineral Wells Rams, led on offense by senior running back Gilbert Castorena and by a soliddefensive effort, had their way with the Iowa Park Hawks in a 34-21 victory here Friday night in a non-district tilt that evens the Rams’ record at 2-2.

Castorena was almost unstoppable as he gained 196 yards on 24 carries with two touchdowns.

The Rams’ success on the ground also opened up the passing game, as quarterback Caleb Acosta completed 15 of 19 passes for 167 yards and two touchdowns, and the sophomore ran in for a score himself.
