Lady Rams show heart in loss to Azle

In non-district play, Mineral Wells head volleyball coach Taylor Eggleston is concerned more about the progress of the Lady Rams than wins and losses.

Although the Lady Rams fell to Azle in four games Tuesday at the MWHS gym, Eggleston saw the team take a big step as it fought hard against a strong 4A program.

On the brink of being swept in game three as Azle needed one point to sweep the match, the Lady Rams (10-8) came back to tie the contest at 25-25 before outlasting the Lady Hornets to take a 36-34 win after a Chandler Ortiz ace.
