MWJH Rams sweep Granbury in grid openers

Knowles leads “A” team to 22-21 victory; “B” team holds off late Pirates’ charge in 18-14 win

Running back Levi Knowles scored two touchdowns, including a game-winning two-point conversion run, to lift the Mineral Wells Junior High Rams “A” team to a 22-21 victory over the Granbury Middle School Pirates Tuesday night in the season opener at Ram Stadium.

Also, quarterback Derek King scored a pair of touchdowns to lead the MWJH Rams “B” team to an 18-14 victory over the Pirates, and the "C" team fought to a 6-6 tie with Granbury in a scrimmage game.
