Mineral Wells High School freshmen and junior varsity basketball teams have enjoyed successful seasons so far in District 6-3A play.
The Lady Rams junior varsity clinched at least a share of the district title with a win over Springtown on Friday, and if the team defeated Kennedale on Tuesday it will have clinched an outright league championship.
Results of the game came after deadline. Check www.mineralwellsindex.com for the final score.
Both freshman teams were in second place before Tuesday’s games, and the Rams JV, playing in a strong JV district, had a chance to even its record with a win Tuesday at Kennedale.
Some of the JV players will be brought up to varsity for the playoffs, which begin next week for the girls.
The Rams sub-varsity teams will play at Castleberry on Friday before concluding the season at home on Tuesday against Lake Worth.
