NORTH RICHLAND HILLS – The University Interscholastic League has spoken, and it has instructed Mineral Wells to head east.
Mineral Wells High School caught a travel break when it found out it would play in District 6-3A beginning in the 2012-13 school year, with the furthest travel being to Kennedale in far southeast Tarrant County.
MWHS and Kennedale will be joined by Castleberry, Lake Worth, Fort Worth Diamond Hill and Springtown, which drops to Class 3A.
