HICO – Super Six man Saturday in Hico had a super opener, but unfortunately for No. 9 Gordon, the Longhorns were on the losing end of it.
No. 2 Ira put together a 51 yard drive late in the game that ended on a one-yard touchdown blast over the middle by Jared Cotton that lifted the Bulldogs to a 28-24 victory at neutral-site Tiger Stadium.

Three Gordon boys’ relay teams, two Strawn boys’ pole vaulters and a Millsap girls’ distance runner all competed Friday and Saturday at the University Interscholastic League State Track and Field Meet at Mike Myers Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas.
