FERRIS – Sydney Shelstead scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Mineral Wells Lady Rams to a 45-35 victory over Ferris here Friday afternoon in a non-district contest.

The win raise the Lady Rams’ mark to 13-5.

“It was a tough game,” Lady Rams head coach Ed Shelstead said. “It was tough in that it was out of our routine. I don’t feel anybody played well, but a win is a win.

“We need to bounce back with energy after the Christmas break and get ready for district.”

Also scoring for the Lady Rams were Bethany Allen with eight points, Niya Benavides with seven, Ashlynn Robinson with four, Courtney Peña with two and Kennedy Shelstead with one.
