The Mineral Wells Lady Rams proved they are anything but ready to give up on their 2008 volleyball season.
The Boswell Lady Pioneers can attest to that fact.
Boswell struggled mightily Friday evening to grind out a tough 26-24, 21-25, 25-8, 25-22 victory in front of a large crowd in the MWHS gymnasium. The Lady Rams held leads in three of the four games played.
With the win, Boswell managed to climb into a tie with Saginaw for fourth in the District 6-4A standings with a 5-4 record. The Lady Rams slipped to 1-8.
Mineral Wells held its own in the first game of the match. The Lady Rams threatened to take the first game, rolling to a 24-23 lead, before Boswell rallied back to score three straight points.
Mineral Wells, 10-20 for the season, didn’t have any trouble finishing in Game 2. The Lady Rams sprinted to an early 16-11 lead and never looked back en route to knotting the match at 1-1.
Boswell, now 16-18, rallied back to claim the final two games to close out the matchup.
