Mineral Wells High School Lady Rams junior Brittany Sneed has been named first-team all-district by the District 8-4A basketball coaches.
Mineral Wells High School Lady Rams head basketball coach Michael Oldham said that Sneed is one of six Lady Rams who are members of the coaches’ all-district team.
Mineral Wells seniors Carsyn Crawford and Savannah Trevino were each second-team all-district selections.
Mineral Wells senior Shanda Small, senior Creshia Small and junior Eli Vasquez were each honorable mention all-district selections.
Aledo junior Hannah Christian is the district’s Most Valuable Player while Crowley senior Ryan Green is the 8-4A Offensive Player of the Year.
Crowley junior Ashley Stamp is the district’s Defensive Player of the Year while Newcomer of the Year honors went to Joshua freshman Brady Sanders. Aledo’s David Walker, Joshua’s Jim Murphy and Crowley’s Alan Neff shared coach of the year honors.

Santo Junior High seventh-grade girls put together runs of 13-3 and 10-0 on its way to a 31-7 win over Cross Plains here Monday night as the Ladycats raised their district record to 10-0 (13-0 overall) to clinch the district championship.
