Last year as a freshman, Mineral Wells High School long-distance runner Alex Pearcy qualified for the Class 3A state cross country meet.
She finished 51st overall with a time of 13:12.78, but what was most important was the experienced gained at the state meet and how her first high school season revealed the potential she has.
