Azle outlasts Lady Rams, 3-1

Azle outlasted the Mineral Wells Lady Rams three games to one Tuesday night in non-district volleyball action at the MWHS gym.

Azle won the first two games of the best-of-5 match, 25-21 and 25-20.

But the Lady Rams came back and won a thrilling game three that went extra rallies as MWHS prevailed,36-34. Lady Rams senior setter Chandler Ortiz fired an ace for the winning point.

However, Azle rallied in game four and took a 25-20 win to seal the match.

In the junior varsity match, the Lady Rams won the opening contest, 25-23, but Azle came back to win the match by taking the next two games, 25-16, 25-16.

The Lady Rams freshman team took game one, 25-21, but Azle won the next two contests, 25-14 and 25-21, to seal the match.
