Strawn Greyhounds open district play with 68-22 rout of Rising Star

STRAWN – The Strawn Greyhounds set up “The Game” of the season on Friday night.

Ross Alison scored three touchdowns, including one via a 51-yard kickoff return, and powered ninth-ranked Strawn to a 68-22 rout of Rising Star in the opening game of District 12 six-man football action.

With the win, Strawn upped its season record to 7-1 and set up a showdown next Friday against unbeaten Sidney for the District 12 championship.
