Rams fall to revenge-minded Burkburnett

MINERAL WELLS — Three Mineral Wells Lady Rams scored at least 20 points in a 92-9 rout of Lake Worth Tuesday night in a District 6-3A game at the MWHS gym.

The win raises the Lady Rams' overall record to 18-5, and 2-0 in district play.

Sydney Shelstead led the Lady Rams with 28 points, with Niya Benavides and Pamela Hopkins each adding 20.

In the nightcap, Burkburnett got a little bit of revenge from being eliminated by Mineral Wells in last year's playoffs as the Bulldogs ran past the Rams, 85-54.

DaShawn Hicks led the Rams (10-12) with 17 points, with A.J. Williams adding 13.
