Lady Rams clinch playoff spot with sweep

Not only did the Mineral Wells Lady Rams clinch a playoff spot with their sweep of Lake Worth Friday afternoon in a District 6-3A match, but they did so in dominating fashion.

Behind 21 combined kills from senior hitters Sydney Shelstead and Niya Benavides, the Lady Rams soundly defeated the Lake Worth Ladyfrogs, 25-17, 25-12, 25-8 on Senior Night to run their district mark to 5-4 and clinch a playoff spot.
