BRIDGEPORT – Coaches in all sports at every level early in the season look for that defining moment from their team that tests their mettle and indicates the group has grown as a team.
Such an occurrence happened Tuesday night in Bridgeport when the Mineral Wells Lady Rams took on the Sissies in a non-district volleyball contest.
The two teams have a recent history. Last year, in district play, Bridgeport defeated the Lady Rams twice, and both were five-game affairs.
It appeared the Sissies had the Lady Rams’ number again as the hosts won the first two games of the best-of-three match.
However, after MWHS head coach Taylor Eggleston made a lineup adjustment, the Lady Rams came back to take the next three games and the match to run their overall mark to 13-9.
