When high school football coaches refer to a big victory as a “total team effort,” the saying is usually marked down as cliché.
However, in the Mineral Wells Rams’ 27-22 comeback victory over the Wichita Falls Hirschi Huskies Friday night at Ram Stadium, it took outstanding efforts from both the MWHS offensive and defensive units to earn the win.
Sophomore Caleb Acosta found senior receiver Isaiah Williams alone in the end zone and connected on a 13-yard touchdown play with 55 seconds left to play that propelled the Rams to the five-point victory.
