After two heart attacks and on arthritic knees, Dave Strege is walking across America twice to raise awareness and donations for children across the globe.

He started his journey Oct. 2 and has spent the past couple of months traversing Texas.

“My schedule has changed a bit,” Strege told the Index as he passed through town. “It's the people.”
