Mineral Wells Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce the upcoming registration for the Mineral Wells Youth Basketball Open League.
New this year, PARD will host a “teams only” registration, which means you can register your team to play in one of four leagues: third grade; fourth grade; fifth grade; or sixth grade. Grade will be determined by the current school year enrollment.
Coaches will be responsible for providing their own uniforms and teams must have matching jerseys. Each coach is responsible for providing their team’s practice equipment, though Mineral Wells Parks and Recreation will attempt to provide each team registered from within the boundaries of the MWISD with one practice at a local gym each week.
PARD will accept entries from surrounding communities as long as each team consists of children in the same grade level.
Registration is Oct. 1 through Nov. 2. Practices begin the week of Nov. 26, with games to start Jan. 5. Cost per team is $150. For more information, call City Gym at (940) 328-7803.
