Driver injured in single-vehicle crash

PALO PINTO – The driver involved in a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning was transported to Palo Pinto General Hospital from the scene, according to authorities.

Department of Public Safety Trooper Gary Rozzell said Hector Armondo Catota, 38, was driving his 2000 Ford Expedition east along U.S. Highway 180 around 4:43 a.m. when the crash occurred just east of the intersection with State Highway 16.

Reports indicate Catota drifted off the highway to the south side and crashed his vehicle into a wooded area.
