PALO PINTO – The driver of an armored truck reportedly failed to maneuver a turn, causing the vehicle to overturn and roll.
According to Department of Public Safety Trooper Gary Rozzell, Adrian Romero, 21, of Mesquite, was driving the 1988 International S1600 truck around 6:50 a.m. Tuesday on Interstate 20 at the exit for Farm-to-Market Road 4.
Romero was reportedly following global positioning directions, which indicated he leave I-20 onto the FM4 off ramp.
The ramp “was quickly approaching and he attempted to make the right turn,” Rozzell said. “The condition of the curve and the vehicle speed, along with the vehicle being top heavy, caused the vehicle to overturn and roll to the left.”
