Palo Pinto Nursing and Rehab Center’s employee of the year, Rita Burch, recently received kudos for her work from the nursing home’s new administrator, Kristi Blackwell.

Burch is a certified nursing assistant whose job starts at 5 a.m. as she helps residents get ready for their day with a shower. She has also worked floor duty, helping with the crucial tasks of restrooms, dressing, hygiene and feeding, whenever someone needs help.

"She takes pride in her work and puts 110 percent into everything she does," said Activity Director Hailey Grantham.
