MINERAL WELLS — Country music lovers can swing into spring on the first official day of spring, this coming Saturday, at Holiday Hills Country Club. That's where The Palo Pinto County Cowboy Church Band will be performing beginning at 7 p.m. Admission is $10, and there will be a cash buffet and open bar available. Members of the band are, from left, Frank Johnson, B.W. Haley, Boo Massey, Mike Turner, Penny Sparks, C.W. Cooper, Randy Sewell, Jerry VanKirk, Kevin Sewell, Amy Johnston, Chuck Curtis, Candy Bennett and Roger Keck. This dance precedes a country music festival slated for May 1 at HHCC, sponsored by the Society of Cowboy and Western Music. Four bands are scheduled to perform that day, and Curtis, VanKirk and Johnson will be inducted into the society's hall of fame.
