A $50 purse containing identification and four rings and diamond earrings valued at a total of $1,000 were reported stolen from a Chrysler PT Cruiser parked in the 500 block of S.W. 15th Street, according to police.
The items were believed taken between noon and 5 p.m. Monday, according to the report.
Though the complainant said her door were locked, officers found no evidence of forcible entry, police said.
Assault reported
A man was reportedly ambushed and beaten around 2 a.m. Sunday, according to a police report.
The victim reported the incident Monday afternoon after he went to the hospital for cuts and swelling on the right side of his face and head, according to police.
While on his way home in the 3000 block of N.E. 2nd Street, four strangers reportedly jumped the man and began beating him, police said the man reported.
The complainant said he was knocked unconscious and woke up in a pool of blood.
Teen punched at store
A 16-year-old teen was reportedly punched in the face by a suspect around 5 p.m. Monday at a store in the 600 block of Farm-to-Market Road 1821 North, according to the police report.
Witnesses said the young man walked up behind the team and struck him with a closed fist.
Police said they are reviewing video of the incident.
Teen assaulted by girlfriend
Police said a 14-year-old boy who went to Palo Pinto General Hospital for injuries consistent with an assault declined to make a report after telling police his 19-year-old girlfriend beat him up.
Arrests
Police reported making the following arrests:
• Archie Marthel Tate, 47, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Monday for speeding in a school zone, using a cellphone in a school zone and driving while license invalid.
• Christopher Allan Hetkes, 18, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Monday for theft, less than $50, at at a store in the 600 block of F.M. 1821 North.
• James Reed Richardson, 29, of Graford, was arrested Monday on city warrants for driving without insurance and running a stop sign after police were called to a wreck Monday evening in the parking lot of a restaurant in the 3600 block of U.S. Highway 180 East.
• Jeffrey Wayne Griffin, 24, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Tuesday on three traffic warrants.
