Two arrested for counterfeit money
Police said they arrested two men for allegedly passing two $100 bills Friday afternoon after receiving calls from two Mineral Wells businesses.
Ryan Adam Meighen, 22, of Aubrey, and William Neal Harris, 25, of Poolville, were both arrested for forgery, according to police.
A restaurant in the 2600 block of East Hubbard reported two men had used a counterfeit $100 bill to pay for their meal around 11:30 a.m., police said.
Around 1 p.m. police were called to a store in the 2800 block of U.S. Highway 180 East where two men reportedly attempted to purchase a pair of shoes with a fake $100 bill.
Police said Meighen initially told them his name was “Jeremiah.”
Police said they found four additional counterfeit $100 bills in his wallet.
Cups from the restaurant were found in the men's car, as well, police reported.
Meighen was charged with failure to identify, as well, according to police.
Teens arrested for stealing at high school
A 14-year-old male and a 15-year-old male were arrested Friday for theft after allegedly rummaging through lockers and taking cash and cell phones at the high school, police said.
The teens were caught on surveillance cameras by security personnel, allegedly stealing from lockers in the boys locker room around 4:30 p.m., according to police.
The 14-year-old was charged with theft, $50 to $500, and the 15-year-old was charged with theft, $500 to $1,500.
Burglaries
• A resident in the 2800 block of North Murco Street reported a burglary of a habitation Thursday night, according to police. The resident returned from being out of town for two months to find blankets and CDs rearranged and disturbed as if someone else had been living in the house, the report stated. A gold necklace with diamonds was reported missing, police said. The back sliding glass door appeared to have pry marks but was not damaged, according to police.
• An iPod, charger and carton of cigarettes, valued at a total of nearly $200, were reported stolen Monday morning from a 1989 Jeep parked in the 500 block of N.W. 3rd Street, police said. A small, vent window was left open, the report read.
Mineral Wells police reported making the following arrests:
• Marsha Aline Leatherman, 30, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Wednesday on a Parker County warrant for theft.
• Jose Cruz Velasquez, 23, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Wednesday on 22 traffic-related warrants and faces fines of $5,400.
• Jose L. Ramirez, 21, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for speeding.
• Leslie Gail Acosta-Mesa, 22, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Wednesday on warrants for changing lanes when unsafe and driving without a license.
• Robert Shane Howard, 35, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Wednesday for running a stop sign.
• Jerry Lawrence Littlepage Jr., 27, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday on a warrants for driving without a license and insurance and failure to control speed.
• Marilyn M. Hanks, 68, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday on four traffic-related warrants.
• Marcos Eugene Casas, 28, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday for public intoxication and excessive noise.
• Donald Ray Moore, 48, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday on warrants for speeding and driving without a seatbelt.
• Jose Armando Rojas, 24, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Saturday for driving without insurance, driving with expired registration and driving while license invalid.
• Pablo Ernesto Garcia, 19, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Saturday on five traffic warrants and for driving without a license and insurance and driving with expired inspection.
• Martin David Myers, 49, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Saturday for public intoxication and on two traffic warrants.
• Jose Quintana, 40, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Saturday for assault causing bodily injury.
• Joseph Wayne Starr, 24, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Sunday for disorderly conduct by language.
• Noel Lazalde Silva, 31, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Sunday for interfering with an emergency telephone call and assault – family violence.
• Timothy Gregory Valley, 26, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Monday for driving while license invalid and failure to signal.
• Armando Felix Valley, 32, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Monday for public intoxication.
