POSSUM KINGDOM LAKE – One election regarding the Palo Pinto County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 will mostly affect residents of The Harbor development at Possum Kingdom Lake and a few other registered voters within the freshwater district.
On Tuesday voters within that district will be asked to ratify the following: confirmation election, directors election, bond election, refunding bond election and maintenance election.
According to attorney Ross Martin of Kelly, Hart and Hallman – the firm running the election – the PPCWCID was created in August of 2007 and they have had all the necessary elections.
Martin called next week’s series of PPCWCID elections a “redo” because of a legal technicality.
