Next Saturday night at the Mineral Wells High School auditorium, Elvis Presley will be in the building – in the form of Kraig Parker.
Parker is a world renowned Elvis tribute artist. He will bring his full backup band for the Feb. 6 show set to begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 each and are available at the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce, Bennett’s Brazos Printing, Cole’s Flowers, Century 21, Awards & More, First Financial Bank and Carter’s Bar & Grill, or by calling (940) 325-1205. Rooms at the Holiday Inn Express and Best Western are discounted for out-of-town travelers.
Proceeds will benefit MWHS disadvantaged and disabled students and the National Vietnam War Museum. This event is being sponsored by disabled veterans of Fort Wolters.
Parker portrays a younger Elvis, from the 1970s decade. On Jan. 23 he performed before a sold out Bass Hall in Fort Worth.
He will appear on 88.5-FM The Ram between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. Tuesday to talk about his performance and to promote next Saturday’s concert, according to one of the show’s organizers, Jim Vines.
