A man was arrested just before midnight Monday night when he reportedly tried to use three fake $20 bills at a gas station in 1800 block of U.S. Highway 180 West, police said.
Justin Dale Williams, 29, of Lafayette, La., was arrested and charged with forgery. Seven more counterfeit bills were found, as well, police said.
Robbery reported
A man reported being jumped by three men while walking along S.E. 2nd Avenue around 4 a.m., police said. The men reportedly beat up the man and took his medications from his pocket, according to the police report.
Burglaries
• A residence in the 4100 block of N.E. 5th Street was reported burglarized between 3 p.m. Wednesday and noon Thursday, police said. A computer valued at $1,600, a flatscreen television valued at $550, a video game console valued at $200, and a digital camera valued at $230 were reported stolen.
• A laptop computer valued at $1,300 was reportedly taken Saturday evening from an unlocked residence in the 1900 block of S.E. 19th Street, police reported.
• A laptop computer was reported taken around 1 a.m. Monday from a residence in the 1900 block of S.E. 13th Street. The back door was found open and a television had been moved from the residence to the ground outside, according to police.
• The ignition of a 1996 model vehicle in the 2000 block of N.E. 6th Street was reported damaged during a burglary sometime between Sunday and Aug. 16, police reported. According to the report, entry was likely made through a passenger window broken out during a previous incident. Nothing was reported missing.
• A 2008 Chevy Impala in the 1300 block of S.W. 12th Street was reportedly ransacked but nothing was taken when the vehicle was left unlocked Sunday morning, according to police.
• A wallet containing cash and identification was reported stolen from a 1997 Dodge pickup in the 800 block of S.W. 19th Street sometime Friday night or Saturday, police reported. The door was found open.
• A cabin in the 1800 block of Grassy Ridge Road near Graford was reported broken into Friday, according to the sheriff’s office. A rifle and hunting bow were reported stolen.

• Michael Lee Vallance, 23, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Wednesday on two warrants for assault – family violence.
• Sammie L. Walker, 36, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Wednesday for possession of a controlled substance, under 28 grams, driving without a license and insurance, expired registration and failure to signal.
• Rodney Michael Savala, 32, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday on a Cooke County warrant for DWI.
• Jose De Jesus Reyna-Fuentes, 29, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday for driving with no license, expired registration and an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement hold.
• Amanda Marie Gregory, 20, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday on a Parker County warrant for theft.
• Jennifer Marie Valley, 28, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday for failure to display a license.
• Joseph Angel Galindo, 17, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday on 10 traffic warrants.
• Carissa Dorough, 37, of Azle, was arrested Thursday for driving with an expired license and registration, no insurance, obstructed windshield, and drug paraphernalia.
• Bobby Merrill Berry, 63, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday on a parole warrant.
• Christie Ann Marie Peña, 20, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday on a warrant for possession of tobacco.
• Kerri Michelle Scroggins, 25, of Weatherford, was arrested Friday for driving without a license and insurance and driving with expired registration and inspection.
• Kenny Raymond Jordan, 36, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Saturday for driving without a license and insurance.
• Deborah Linnett Gooden, 47, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Saturday on a Kerr County warrant for failure to appear, a Lampasas County warrant for violation of probation and a Palo Pinto County warrant for probation revoked.
