Fire crews responded to a structure fire call shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of S.E. 2nd Avenue.
According to reports, firefighters made entry into the house, removed furniture and clothes from the room involved and began battling the blaze.
Officials determined the home was locked and, according to one report, the owner was present at the structure earlier in the day.
The blaze was reportedly discovered by a passerby who noticed fire showing through a window.
