Walden Farm & Ranch Supply is dressing it up this year as they gear up to host a Dog Costume contest, Trick for a Treat Contest and Wiener Dog Races this Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Mineral Wells location at 196 Garrett Morris Parkway.
The morning kicks off with the Costume Contest at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Trick-for-a-Treat contest at 9:45 a.m., and with a grand finale of wiener dog races at 10:30 a.m.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. Participants can also pre-register by calling the Mineral Wells location at (940) 325-8500 or simply going to their website at www.waldenfarmandranch.com. There will be no entry fees, so this is really a free-for-all family event. Various prizes will be awarded in the costume and trick contest along with awards for the top five dogs in the race. The dog costume contest and Trick-for-a-Treat contest are both open to all dog breeds. The wiener dogs races are strictly for wiener dogs.
“We look forward to hosting this event every year,” said Melissa Gomes, event coordinator. “It is really a fun day of free family entertainment.”
