On Thursday evening the Mineral Wells Senior Center will join with Lakewell House and Palo Pinto Nursing and Rehab in hosting a progressive dinner party.
The evening begins with appetizers at Lakewell House, then moves on to dinner at the Senior Center and ends with dessert at Palo Pinto Nursing and Rehab.
This free party will feature lots of good food as well as favors and door prizes. Call the senior center at (940) 325-6470 before 2 p.m. Thursday to join in a night of fun.
Harvey to join MWHS Hall of Honor in Wednesday ceremony
With a 2002 Mineral Wells High School Sports Hall of Fame induction already under his belt, Coach Jackie Harvey will add to his accolades, on Wednesday, the 2013 Honorary Alumni inductee into the Ram Elite Society.
‘84 Ram Peak to address Hall of Honor
Dr. Kayla Peak will be the guest speaker at the 20th Annual Hall of Honor Induction Ceremony to be held Wednesday, at the Mineral Wells High School auditorium.

Cleburne declared disaster area after strong storms
Cleburne Mayor Scott Cain early Thursday morning declared a state of emergency and disaster in wake of damage caused by Wednesday night’s tornado and heavy rain. Cain said County Judge Roger Harmon did the same for the county.
Residents of Mineral Wells Nursing and Rehab were treated to a unique presentation Wednesday as many were able to personally relate to various local artifacts.
Established last year, the Call to Action Rally will take place again tonight, 6-8 p.m., at Mineral Wells High School. The public is encouraged to attend.
