Two occupants of a vehicle involved in a collision Tuesday were taken to Palo Pinto General Hospital to receive treatment for injuries.
According to Mineral Wells police reports, the crash happened shortly after 8 a.m. in the 800 block of South Oak Avenue.
Investigators determined a 2007 Toyota Tundra, driven by Linda M. Fewell, 29, of Graford, was traveling south on South Oak Avenue and turned east onto the 100 block of S.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Street.
Fewell reportedly failed to yield the right of way to a 2008 Ford Mustang being driven by Jennifer Woodard, 38, of Mineral Wells, who was driving north along South Oak Avenue.
The collision damaged both vehicle’s front bumpers. Reports indicate Woodard tried to stop before the crash by applying brakes, adding the Mustang’s tires left between 60 and 70 feet of skid marks on the road.
Woodard, along with a 13-year-old passenger, Jadyen Woodard, were transported via ambulance to PPGH. Their injuries were described by investigators as non-incapacitating.
The crash report identifies driver inattention, failure to yield right of way and turning when unsafe on the part of Fewell as contributing factors in the collision.
Fewell faces a charge of failure to yield right of way turning left.
