STAFF REPORTS
Police responded to a two-vehicle crash Friday at around 11:45 a.m. in the 1700 block of S.E. Martin Luther King Street.
According to police reports, the driver of one vehicle was transported by ambulance from the scene to Palo Pinto General Hospital where she was treated for possible injuries.
Investigators determined the crash occurred when a 2000 Dodge Durango, driven by Terrianne Victoria Odom, 23, of Mineral Wells, struck another vehicle in the rear as it was turning onto the another road.
Reports indicate Sue Crocker Durrett, 64, of Mineral Wells, was traveling westbound on Martin Luther King Street as Odom followed behind her.
When Durrett attempted to turn left onto the 800 block of S.E. 16th Street, Odom reportedly failed to adequately slow her vehicle, causing the collision between her vehicle and Durrett’s 2002 Chevrolet Malibu.
Durrett was taken to PPGH from the scene and Odom was reportedly not injured in the crash.
Odom faces a charge of failure to control speed.
